Cleaning Instructions

1. Let the Suppressor Cool

Never clean it hot. Allow it to cool completely to room temperature.

2. Initial Carbon Removal

Tap the suppressor      gently to knock loose carbon free.

Use compressed air to      blow out loose debris.

3. Apply Cleaner

Spray Tipton Best Gun Degreaser throughout the internal cavities.

                Allow it to soak:

                Light fouling: 5 minutes

Do not leave strong solvents soaking overnight.

4. Scrub

           Using only non-metallic brushes:

  • Scrub blast chambers
  • Scrub baffles
  • Scrub end cap areas

5. Degrease (Heavy Carbon Only)

If the suppressor is extremely dirty:

               1. Spray KRUD KUTTER on the fouled areas.

               2. Let sit 2–3 minutes.

               3. Scrub again with nylon brush.

               4. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

6. Dry Completely

  • Blow out every cavity with compressed air.
  • Allow to air dry 24 hours if water was used.
  • Permissible to use a filament dryer or dehydrator at 120–140°F (50–60°C) for one hour.

7. Final Protectant

Apply a very light coat of white lithium grease to:

  • Threads

            Wipe away excess.

Do not saturate the Core with oil.

Brushes & Tools

  • Nylon gun brushes only (avoid steel brushes). Nylon brushes are aggressive enough for carbon while remaining gentle on surfaces.
  • Microfiber towels
  • Compressed air or an      air compressor
  • Nitrile gloves

Things I Would NOT Use

 DO NOT USE:

  • Acetone
  • MEK
  • Brake cleaner
  • Carburetor cleaner
  • Lacquer thinner
  • Strong bore solvents      designed for copper removal

These can attack or weaken some nylon formulations over time.

Recommended Cleaners

  • Tipton Best Gun Degreaser – safe for polymer components and excellent for flushing carbon.
  • For heavy carbon buildup, KRUDD KUTTER Kitchen degreaser -Heavy Duty Cleaner Degreaser can help cut oil and carbon.
